What they do: A leading Spanish public university with strong expertise in environmental sciences, engineering, and rural studies.
Role: UVIGO is the coordinator of the STORCITO project. It is responsible for project management and scientific coordination, ensuring overall alignment with the project’s objectives and timelines. UVIGO also contributes directly to the implementation of the case studies and cross-cutting research activities. - Contactica
Country: Spain
What they do: A Spanish consultancy specialized in EU project management, communication, and exploitation of research results.
Role: Contactica is responsible for communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities, as outlined in Work Package 10 (WP10). The organization leads the creation and implementation of the Communication & Dissemination Strategy (Task 10.1) and supports clustering activities and website development. - Instituto Orensano de Desarrollo Económico (INORDE)
Country: Spain
What they do: A public institution supporting economic development in the province of Ourense, Galicia, with a focus on rural innovation.
Role: INORDE is involved in Case Study 1 (wildfire prevention) and contributes regional and local expertise, especially in relation to economic development, land management, and stakeholder engagement in Galicia. - Innogando

What they do: A technology company based in Galicia focused on smart livestock management and precision farming tools.
Role: Innogando contributes to Case Study 1, particularly through the application of technological solutions such as smart collars for cattle used in wildfire prevention and forest monitoring systems. - SINTEF
Country: Norway
What they do: One of Europe’s largest independent research organizations, based in Norway, with expertise in energy systems, mobility, and sustainability.
Role: SINTEF contributes technical expertise to the energy and mobility case studies. It supports the implementation of community-driven energy solutions and the development of inclusive mobility strategies within rural contexts. - Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB)
Country: Germany
What they do: A German university known for interdisciplinary research in social sciences, governance, and environmental policy.
Role: RUB provides academic and research support, with a focus on social sciences and governance models relevant to the project’s rural innovation framework.- - Geoponiko Panepistimion Athinon (Agricultural University of Athens – AUA)
Country: Greece
What they do: Greece’s premier university in agricultural and environmental sciences.
Role: AUA supports the development of nature-based solutions (NBS) and contributes technical and scientific knowledge to address rural sustainability challenges, particularly in agro-environmental systems. - Technische Hochschule Deggendorf (THD)

What they do: A top-ranked research university in the Netherlands, well known for its work on sustainability transitions and social innovation.
